Holidays!

Whenever the holidays come around I get excited. It always makes me want to do something new to my hair and nails. One of my favorite times of year when I was working at the salon was Christmas when my nail clients would come in and I got to put red tipped nails with snowflakes and painted green holly leaves. Other favorites were white glitter tips. Haircolor trends tend to go darker in the fall and winter. I love the rich browns, copper, and reds. Going darker will make your hair look shinier and your eyes stand out. Try to stay withing 2 shades of your natural color to stay away from the "fake" or "wig" look. Lowlights on blond hair are a fun change. Often highlighting over and over end in the result of far lighter hair than the natural color level. Lowlights take the hair back closer to the natural look. It also adds a fun element of change where you can basically do any color you want. I recommend a Demi-Permanent color for going darker or lowlights. Demi-Permanent will last a long time (6-12weeks) and fade off to a natural look without a growout line. Enjoy this time of year! I welcome any hair questions!

Well...I think I'm going to have Mom dye my hair so call me or I'll call you and you can tell me what I need to get. Do you still have my previous color choices written down somewhere? I'm thinking maybe a shade darker than my original and a touch of red and gold. What do you think?

Stace I think your hair looks great a shade darker with a little warm tone. I suggest Gold or Copper tones for you. It would be fun for you to try a lowlight for fall too. It gives a little more dimension and interest. Let me know if you still need advice. Love you!!
